For project two we were told to create a typeface on the website Fontstruct. I first began to research all about different typefaces and experimented with creating multiple different typefaces until I created my final typeface,Cooface. I named my typeface Cooface because I think it reflects myself as a person really well, the typeface is bold, quirky, and raw. As am I. I really wanted to reflect these traits in my poster. For my poster I chose two images taken of me next to walls of graffiti, I did this because yes the typeface is named after me so I thought it was fitting to have my real life experiences visible in my poster. I also chose to use these photos because both photos help highlight my three keywords; bold,quirky,and raw. The kissing photo demonstrates this because whats bolder than a kiss, and what is more raw then love, and what is more quirky than speech bubbles expressing the obvious? The Ice cream photo helps demonstrate these in the same way the colors are bold the realness of the photo is raw and the fact that she is playfully eating ice-cream is quirky.
