Project Two Brief:
Project two involved students creating a typeface of their
own design using the online program Fontstruct. More important than the
creation of the typeface however, was the process of learning how to define and
present the typeface for an audience. Students worked to create a printed
typeface specimen mailer that could persuade someone to use their created
typeface.
Keywords for my typeface:
Jagged – geometric points give the typeface a sharp
appearance
Tension – inspiration from both new and old styles of
typefaces compete for dominance
Stark – thick, bold strokes with sudden stops draw attention
to itself
